How long have you worked at Multicultural Hub, and what is your role?

I have worked here since 2009 in a number of different roles. Currently I am the Employment Support and Community Support Officer.

What do you like about working with the Multicultural Community?

Meeting with different people, learning about the different cultures. Getting to meet other community leaders. And I feel happy when I get to use my lived experiences of settling in Australia to help other multicultural community members.

What are some of the things you do in your role?

In my role, I run the driving program, I coordinate the Caneball National Competition. I support other activities and events. I also help clients with case work, employment support and anything else they might need.

What’s something people might not know about you?

In 2019 our Multicultural Youth Services team represented Australia and won third place in the 34 th Kings Cup World Championships in Caneball (Sepak Takraw) in Thailand.

What would you say to a community member who might be thinking about connecting with a service at Multicultural Hub Canberra?

If you have any struggles or issues that you cannot deal with by yourself, then please come to mHub so that we can support and assist you in any of our services.
